About EA Data Ltd

For over 15 years, EA Data Ltd has designed, installed and supported network infrastructure for businesses and homes across Suffolk, Norfolk and Essex, from our base in Aldeburgh.

Who we are

Steve Taylor founded EA Data in 2011, after more than ten years working in IT and networking. Today we’re a Suffolk-based team of network engineers working with commercial and domestic clients alike: offices, schools, retail and industrial sites, farms, holiday lets and private homes. Many of our customers have been with us for over a decade.

  • Designed to fit: every installation is planned around your premises and future growth.
  • Tested and certified: cabling is tested with industry-standard Fluke equipment, and you receive full test results.
  • Backed by warranty: as an accredited Excel Networking partner, we can offer a 25-year manufacturer warranty on complete structured cabling installations.
  • Support afterwards: existing customers can log support tickets through our helpdesk, and customers on a support contract benefit from 24-hour emergency cover.

Steve has worked in IT and networking since 2000 and founded EA Data in 2011. He still designs and quotes installations himself and is on site most weeks, from first surveys to final testing.

Rebecca looks after the business side of EA Data, from accounts and finance to HR and recruitment, so the engineers can focus on the work.

Network Engineer

Edd works mainly on our fibre and Wi-Fi installations, and is happiest getting stuck into the technical side, from configuring networks to tracking down tricky faults.

Our springer spaniel takes her role very seriously, personally inspecting every visitor and every biscuit. No formal qualifications in network cabling, but unbeaten on morale.

Accreditations

Our engineers are trained and certified to recognised industry standards. We’re an accredited Excel Networking partner, able to offer a 25-year manufacturer warranty on complete cabling installations, and an Ajax Authorised Installer. Our team’s qualifications include City & Guilds, ECS cards, IPAF certification for operating powered access platforms and CNET Training, alongside manufacturer training from Fluke Networks, Ubiquiti and Hikvision.
