Multimode and singlemode fibre

We supply and install all types of fibre optic cabling, including:

• Singlemode fibre (OS1 and OS2): OS2 is our recommendation for most new installations, with far more bandwidth, much longer distances and support for RF over fibre (for TV and two-way radio signals)
• Multimode fibre (OM1 to OM5): for extending or repairing existing multimode networks

Singlemode transceivers now cost about the same as multimode ones, so singlemode is the better long-term investment for almost every new link.

Our engineers are qualified to terminate fibre using both fusion splicing and glue and polish methods, for a clean, reliable connection every time.

Tested and certified

On completion of every fibre installation, we provide full OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer) trace test results. They give you documented proof that your network has been installed and tested to the required standard, which is particularly important for commercial clients who need certified results for compliance.
